Introduction:The Guqin (ancient Chinese musical instrument) is the inner voice. Through the qin, one can illuminate his heart and nature and reflect both ancient and modern times. The culture of the ancient qin embodies the inner pursuit of the Chinese nation, sense of tranquility, peace and harmony, spirit of heaven and earth, and humanistic sentiments. Qin, the inner voice, is also the ultimate realm of understanding things and integrating knowledge and action. It is the best interpretation of the excellent traditional Chinese culture that is internalized in the heart and externalized in the form. Seeking soul mate through Guin music, the lecture ccombining introduction and demonstration will introduce the Chinese Guqin Culture and its artistic concepts, and highlight the profound richness of the Chinese culture.

Speaker: Master Wang Peng, Guqin maker, Executive Council Member of China Musical Instrument Association, Council Member of China Guqin Association, and the representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage "Guqin Art". He is dedicated to the inheritance and innovation of Guqin art by restoring the ancient charm of the instrument through repairing numerous handed-down guqin, and integrating modern innovative styles to create unique music pieces and injecting new vitality into the development of Guqin music. He gave lectures and performances in Thailand, Russia, Australia, Mauritius, and the United States and won the Green Room Award in Australia for Best Music Composition and Music Design, becoming the first Chinese musician to win the award. The Guqin he has made have been presented as national gifts to many national leaders and international friends.
