As the diet of the Aboriginal people changes with the seasons, so do our tour activities. Take a guided bush walk with Shared Knowledge to forage for seasonal native bush foods and medicines and discover their cultural uses. During this three hour tour you will discover the importance of traditional bush foods to the Aboriginal people, and sample foods found in Centennial Parklands.
Learn about the traditional seasons and how they influence what is hunted and gathered. Taste traditional foods and flavours which, depending on the season, could include kangaroo, emu, quandong, wattle, finger-lime and salt bush.
The session will include:
A guided walk
Passionate local guides
Fresh morning and native brewed tea
Encounter wildlife and learn their importance to Aboriginal people
Countless photo opportunities in a stunning, cultural significant location
Delicious 3-course tasting menu of original Australian bush tucker—prepared by our Aboriginal chefs & educators
