Barry Charles – The Journey

Barry Charles is a colourful performer with a broad vocal range. He can channel Tom Waits, scat or toss in falsetto at the drop of a hat.

'The Journey' is an insight into Barry’s years he experienced living here on the Sunshine Coast. He observes how the coast was beginning to change, the developers, the politics, the good times and the busts, the environment and how the changes affected the ambience of the area as well as the music scene at the time.

Barry will be performing and discussing some of his repertoire from the past years and some of the venues he has played in. He will be accompanied on the night with Peter Wells, Parris Macleod, Duncan Macqueen, Lisa Fearnely and other guest musicians.
